A military veteran is a person who has served or is serving in the armed forces of a country. As of September 2023, there were an estimated 17.9 million veterans in the United States, which represents about 6.8% of the US population age 18 and older.* We’ll look at applications of Lean and Six Sigma in the provision of services for veterans and finish with a video on using and sharing data to improve outcomes for homeless veterans.

An article titled “Effectively Ending Veteran Homelessness in Houston” discusses the efforts to reduce veteran homelessness in Houston, Texas.
A key bootcamp built on previous efforts to address homelessness using Six Sigma. This resulted in reducing the number of days required to house persons experiencing homelessness by 40%.
