As an author, Covey is most recognized for his groundbreaking work in the book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” which sold over 30 million copies worldwide. He later authored a follow-up book, “The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness” and “The Leader in Me: How Schools and Parents Around the World Are Inspiring Greatness, One Child at a Time.” His work expanded to numerous other volumes on various topics, which significantly impacted his global audience. Covey brought his entrepreneurial spirit to the world through FranklinCovey. In this endeavor, Covey shifted the dynamics of efficiency and productivity through education, consulting, mentoring, and training. By 2019, the organization reported annual revenues over $225 million. As a distinguished academic, Covey was a noted professor at Brigham Young University and Utah State University.
