Bio

Michael George is a leading authority on Lean Six Sigma, distinguished author, and founder of the George Group. Throughout his career, his focus has been on quality, leadership, and innovation across all industries. Most notably, George pioneered the concept of blending the Six Sigma and Lean methodologies into a thoughtful and effective process. George’s career began as an engineer with Texas Instruments, where he took on the toughest assignments and met the challenges he faced with diligence and success. After honing his skills with Texas Instruments, he explored his entrepreneurial vision and founded International Power Machines (IPM), which was later sold to Rolls Royce. Because of his passion for quality and technology, George traveled to Japan, where he studied Total Quality Management (TQM) and the Toyota Production System (TPM). This experience led him to write his first book, America Can Compete.
