Chad Holliday

Address US
Bio Charles “Chad” Holliday is a forward-thinking business leader who built a strong career focused on innovation and agility. He served with such notable organizations as DuPont, Bank of America, and Royal Dutch Shell. He was known for his innovative drive, long-term strategic thinking, and demanding excellence throughout his career. His service went well beyond the formal structures of gilded organizations, serving the greater good with the U.S. Council on Competitiveness, the Business Roundtable, the International Business Council, and the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions. Holliday was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, and attended college at the University of Tennessee, where he earned his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. He began his professional career with DuPont as an engineer and served in a wide variety of roles around the globe. He progressed through these roles until he was appointed the 18th CEO of DuPont. Under his leadership, he set the standard for reducing DuPont’s environmental footprint while achieving sustainable growth. Holliday shifted the organizational focus from being a chemical company to a science-based product and service organization. After leaving DuPont, Holliday served as Chairman of the Board of both Bank of America and Royal Dutch Shell.
